As a part of the Sounders’ internal marketing and creative team, I was responsible for ideating, creating, and designing graphics for the various needs of the club. This included graphics for social media, website, app, in-stadium, live experience, ticket sales, sponsorships & partners, internal & external events, team store, and much more!
Be Water, My Friend
During the 2023 MLS Season, the Seattle Sounders released their community kit inspired by Bruce Lee. As an Asian-American, who had grown up watching Bruce Lee & his films, it was an honor to be a part of the club during this campaign. I had the great opportunity to help lead the creative direction for the lifestyle photoshoot (seen above) that helped promote additional themed merchandise that fans could purchase. I was also able to design and illustrate a few matchday posters as giveaways for fans. I am particularly proud of “The Bruce Lee Match” poster that was directly inspired by the original “Enter The Dragon” poster. I spent hours digitally illustrating this piece to replicate the original poster style, while incorporating unique elements to the club and city. This was by far the biggest illustration project that I have completed. I also helped design the pop-up shop at the team store (seen below) where fans could have a much more immersive experience while shopping “The Bruce Lee Collection.”
