On March 2, 2018, a hilarious report was released stating that Cleveland Cavaliers guard, J.R. Smith, was banned for 1-game for supposedly throwing a bowl of soup at one of his assistant coaches. Later that week, the famous streetwear brand, Supreme, announced that they would be releasing a collaboration with Nike/NBA. Ironically, the model for this collab was Smith. The Internet went to work quickly, acknowledging the irony of the situation. There were memes using “Soupreme” instead of “Supreme” and photoshopping bowls of soup onto Smith’s Supreme photos. Because of this funny situation, my love for puns, and my love for jerseys, I thought it would be fun to create a physical “Soupreme” jersey by transforming current NBA logos with soup-inspired twist.
